Scripture at Sunrise 1.18.2017

“And you shall know that I am the Lord, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill,on all the mountaintops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing aroma to all their idols.” -Ezekiel 6:13
Our God hates idolatry because He is a jealous God. He will judge against idolatry so that we will know that He is the Lord.
Idolatry is a mistrust of God. The adulterous action of idolatry impairs judgment, shows a lack of love, breaks trust, and demonstrates unfaithfulness. In our day and time, it’s easy for us to also get caught up in idolatry in subtle ways. What dominates your thought life? What do you serve?
