Scripture at Sunrise 01.04.2021

“saying, ‘Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but Yours, be done.'” -Luke 22:42

Sometimes God answers our prayers even when He knows it is not what is best for us. Hezekiah prayed for 15 more years of life, but they ended up being the worst years of his life.

Hezekiah wanted his own will. We need to learn “Not my will but Yours be done.”

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Evening Sermon
The Selfish Prayer” from 2 Chronicles 32)
