Jesus Feeds Another Crowd
Mark 8:1-10

—————————————————————————————————————-
We learned:
>Jesus wanted to care for the people’s needs.
>The disciples seemed to forget what Jesus could do.
>Feeding this crowd showed Jesus’ love for the Gentiles.  (The Decapolis was a Gentile region.  The feeding of the 5,000 took place in a Jewish region).
>It is important to remember the good things God does.
>The Israelites remembered what God had done for them in the wilderness by setting up rocks.  (Joshua 4)
>KEY: Remember to remember!  Some rocks we can set up: journal, prayer journal, sermon notes, pictures, videos, etc.
>The most important thing for us to remember is that God sent His Son to die for our sins so we might have eternal life.

We sang with Mrs. Janna!

What to review:
1. Where did this miracle take place?  Decapolis (which stands for the Ten Towns), a Gentile region.
2. How long had the crowd been with Jesus? Three days.
3. How many people were in the crowd that day? Around 4,000.
4. How many loaves of bread and fish did the disciples have? Seven loaves of bread and three small fish.
5. How much food was left over? Seven large baskets full.Key verse:
“Remember His miracles and all His wonders.” -Psalm 105:5

A Note from Sarah:
These lessons may be intended for little kids, but the Lord sure uses them in my own life! This week, I have been humored at how much I am like the forgetful disciples. They just saw Jesus feed 5,000 people on the shore of the Sea of Galilee with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Now, they’re in the Decapolis with 4,000 people, 7 loaves and 3 fish. They have more stuff and less people (not to mention the omnipotent Son of God) and they can’t figure out how all these people are going to eat. *Psh…hello! Look at the previous chapter!* But that’s easy for me to say…I am just like them and I’m sure you are, too. “How will I ever get through this storm?” you ask. Look at the last one He carried you through. He’s able, He’s able, I know He’s able, I know my Lord is able to carry me through!  Oh what a blessing your children are in my life!  :o)

Oodles of Love in the omnipotent Savior, remembering the great things He has done, Sarah (Psalm 19:14)
