Scripture at Sunrise 10.19.09

Sunday School | 1 John 4:7-21 | Bro. Steve Dawson
“We love because he first loved us.”  -1 John 4:19
Love people from His love.  Be willing to put yourself out for someone else.

Morning Worship | 1 Corinthians 3:1-9 | Pastor Steve Wainright
“So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.  He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. -1 Corinthians 3:7-8
You will be rewarded according to your labor and faithfulness, not your “success” or “numbers.”
Children of God: Positionally, you are in Christ and are sanctified.  So, practically, are you living it out?

Evening Worship | Leviticus 4:1-35 | Pastor Steve Wainright
“And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”  -Hebrews 10:10
God makes provision for atonement (at-one-ment) for each and every one.
Our Lamb has been provided for our sins!  Once for all!

Scripture at Sunrise 10.12.09

Sunday School | 1 John 4:1-6 | Bro. Roger Harden
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”  -1 John 4:1
You have to know the Word of God to test the spirits.  Know the Word to defend the Gospel.

Morning Worship | 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 | Pastor Steve Wainright
“But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.  None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”  -1 Corinthians 2:7-8
*God’s wisdom is hidden for our glory.  If it wasn’t hidden, His Son wouldn’t have been crucified and we wouldn’t have salvation.
*Ministry of the Spirit (vs. 10-16) // 1. Revelation: truth revealed (vs. 10-11) 2. Inspiration: truth recorded (vs. 12-13) 3. Illumination: truth understood (vs. 14-16)

Evening Worship | Leviticus 3:1-17 | Pastor Steve Wainright
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His flesh the dividing wall of hostility.”  -Ephesians 2:14
Our peace is found in trusting in our High Priest, Jesus Christ, the majestic One who deeply loves us.
