“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” -Romans 15:4

Scripture at Sunrise 1.4.2016

Sunday Morning| Pastor Steve Wainright | Prayer & Provision | 1 Kings 18:41-46
“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.” -James 5:17-18

By faith, Elijah knew rain was coming. He knew God had promised it and he banked on that promise as he prayed. His faith was based upon God’s Word and God’s timing.
