Scripture at Sunrise 3.11.2020

“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” -1 Timothy 1:15

The pain of knowing the great distance between our character and Christ’s is great evidence of conversion. The lost man knows no such pain. Our need should not drive us to despair, but to Christ, who came for this purpose—to save sinners! We look to Christ with nothing in our hands. -Paul Washer

Morning Audio: Hear & Do | Evening Audio: Without Christ

Morning – Luke 8:19-21 | Morning Audio: Hear & Do | Pastor Steve Wainright
But He answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.” -Luke 8:21

Advantages for hearing & doing God’s Word:
1) Gives us guidelines. Boundaries are for our safety and means He loves us.
2) Unity in our lives and with one another.
3) Honors others. Esteem others better than yourself.
4) Honors God. (1 John 4:7)

Hear>Do>Give love. Do you love Him? If you do, you desire to do what He says.

Evening – 1 Timothy 1:15 | Evening Audio: Without Christ | Pastor Anthony Vance
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. -1 Timothy 1:15

Without Jesus Christ in my life, where would I be?

  • Without Christ, I would be an unsaved sinner.
  • Without Christ, I have no hope–no expectation of eternal salvation.
  • Without Christ, I’d be without God in this world.
  • Without Christ, I would remain even as others.
  • Without Christ, I’d be a man most miserable with no peace.

The good news is that Jesus saves! We are blessed to be IN Christ! You’re a saved sinner. You’re in Christ and Christ is in you!
