Scripture at Sunrise 2.3.2014

Sunday Evening | Pastor Steve Wainright | 1 Samuel 18:17-30
“Then the commanders of the Philistines came out to battle, and as often as they came out David had more success than all the servants of Saul, so that his name was highly esteemed.” -1 Samuel 18:30

Everybody loved David except for Saul. David was anointed–a type of Christ–a type of Messiah. When it comes to the Lord’s Anointed, you either love him or you hate him. There is no neutral ground. If you’re neutral, you’re against him. Do you love Christ or hate Him?

David acted wisely in ALL that he did (vs. 14). Do you act wisely in ALL that you do?

Scripture after Sunrise 3.30.09

This is a special after-the-sunrise post summarizing last night’s message from Exodus 30

The imagery of the Old Testament shows more deeply the beauty of our Lord and Savior in His redemptive work.

vs. 11-16- We are bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
vs. 17-21- We are sanctified and meet [useful, profitable] for the Master’s use.  (2 Timothy 2:21)
vs. 22-33- We are anointed by His Spirit.

Are you devoted to His service?  Is what you have consecrated to Him?
