“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” -Hebrews 11:8

When you trust in the Lord, you are obedient to the Lord. There is a turning away from the old things that have passed away and — behold! — all things have become new.

When faith is based upon God’s promise, faith produces obedience.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Morning Sermon from Hebrews 11:8-12“By Faith Abraham”

“And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.” -2 Chronicles 25:2

Amaziah’s heart was not right. He had godly actions, he did what was right in God’s sight, but his heart (attitude) was not devoted to God.

Service to the Lord our God comes from a heart of love to the Lord our God. The more you love Him, the more you desire to serve Him. If you serve God out of obligation, you will end up burnt out in serving Him.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon from 2 Chronicles 25:1-28 – “Right Thing, Wrong Heart“)

“I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord.” -Philippians 4:2

The source of just about all conflict is attitude, which comes from a lack of knowledge of God. Your theology is going to rule your relationships. What you believe about God will rule how you relate to others. -Steve Wainright from 11/1/2015 Sunday Morning Sermon on Philippians 4:1-4 (Listen Here)
