Scripture at Sunrise 10.4.2017

“Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day…” -Matthew 27:64

Jesus has broken out and He is looking for you! Jesus’ enemies made every attempt to assure He would never come out of the grave, but He broke out. It was not possible for Jesus to be held by death. –excerpts from Dave Parks’ Sunday Evening Sermon [audio here]

Scripture at Sunrise 11.24.2014

Sunday Morning| Pastor Steve Wainright | Galatians 2:1-10 | Gospel of Grace (Audio)
” Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.” -Galatians 2:10

Remember to pass the plate for the poor. Pray for them. Talk to them. Give to them. Help them in their need. There is a spiritual picture in this. God reached out to you when you were poor.

Scripture at Sunrise 4.18.2011

“For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” -2 Corinthians 5:21

What is the Gospel? Many people would say a message of salvation…but salvation from what? Basically, God is saving us from God.

God is holy and hates sin. He demands justice and will not let the guilty go unpunished. (Romans 1:18) Why will a person who is a sinner have to be punished for eternity for their sin? Because they have offended an eternal God (John 3:36).

God’s holiness demands justice; therefore, He made Jesus Christ become sin for us. All our sins were put into His account (Psalm 103:10; 2 Corinthians 5:19). Our guilt was imputed to Christ.  He puts His righteousness in our account when we are in Him.

In Adam, all our sinners. In Christ, we are righteous. We are justified: cleared of all charges and declared righteous in God’s sight.

If we are in Christ, we are His ambassadors. An ambassador is one who represents the Ruler in a foreign country. We must convey the message of our King/Ruler. His message? The Gospel…a message of reconciliation about God saving us from His wrath.

Scripture at Sunrise 5.25.09

“Brothers, pray for us. Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.”  -1 Thessalonians 5:25-26

We, the people at the Next Conference, trust you had a wonderful day in the Lord at New Life yesterday!

Since the church secretary is presently in Baltimore for the conference, there was no way she could post her notes from yesterday’s New Life messages as she normally does every Monday on the blog.

Therefore, she leaves you with a few links from what the Next-ers have been hearing over the past few days.  You are encouraged to leave YOUR notes from today’s NLBC messages in the comment section!  🙂
