Scripture at Sunrise 09.06.2021

“Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.” -Nehemiah 2:4

To be a better servant of the Lord, we must be patient, show respect to those in authority, have a lifestyle of prayer, give God the glory, expect opposition, pick your battles, and understand that the battle belongs to the Lord. Have faith in Him! (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon “Being a Servant of the Lord” from Nehemiah 2)

Scripture at Sunrise 9.26.2018

“Beloved, I urge you has sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.” -1 Peter 2:11

We need to worship because we are in spiritual warfare. Worship is a key to winning in spiritual warfare. If your focus is right, you’re going to win the battle. For us to get the victory, we must worship right. The battle we’re fighting is predominantly in our minds, heart, and will. You’re only ready for battle as you worship. -excerpts from Steve Wainright’s 9/19 Wednesday Evening Sermon on Worship (Listen here)

Scripture at Sunrise 2.9.2015

Sunday Evening | Pastor Steve Wainright | Don’t Lose Your Head | 2 Samuel 20:1-26
“For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases. As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.” -Proverbs 26:20-21

Choose your battles wisely. Sheba started a fight he couldn’t finish and lost his head. When someone wants to argue, remember you don’t have to join them.
