“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” -Isaiah 49:16
“Child of God, you cost Christ too much for Him to forget you.” – Charles Spurgeon
Sunday Morning | Pastor J. Anthony Vance | How God Saves Sinners | John 1:1-13
“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” -John 1:12-13
We are not children of God by attainment. It is not merited, worked for, or earned. We do not deserve to be called children of God. Becoming a child of God is a matter of God giving you something, not you earning it.
It is supernaturally natural that members of the same spiritual family should love one another. God’s children are known by their actions and affections. You love, not to be a child of God, but because you are His child. Children of God love because they are partakers of the divine nature–God is lives in them and God is love.
