Sunday Evening| Pastor Steve Wainright | 1 Samuel 14
Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.” -1 Samuel 14:6
The second part of that verse is the whole kernel of truth on which Jonathan’s courage was based: that the Lord may work! God doesn’t need 80,000 people in order to conquer 80,000 people. Jonathan had faith that God use just him and his armor-bearer to conquer thousands of Philistines…and He did just that.
The less strength you have, the more glory God shows.
Are you making your life count for the glory of God like Jonathan or have you parked it under a pomegranate tree like Saul?
