• Reading the Word (Deut. 17:19)
• Studying the Word (Prov. 2:1-5)
• Memorizing the Word (Ps. 119:11)
• Meditating on the Word (Josh. 1:8)
• Doers of the Word (Jam. 1:22)

Scripture at Sunrise 2.27.2020

“The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; they have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.” -Psalm 135:15-18

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, who has been His counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to Him that He might be repaid?” For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. Why study theology?

1. To know the character of God.
2. To serve the will of God.
3. To glorify the holiness of God.
4. To enjoy the attributes of God.
5. To love the perfection of God.
6. To absorb the Word of God.
7. To worship the person of God.
