Scripture at Sunrise 4.27.2020

And she said to the king, “The report was true that I heard in my own land of your words and of your wisdom, but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard. Happy are your wives! Happy are these your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the LORD your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them forever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness.” -2 Chronicles 9:5-8

Oh that others that see our lives might be like the Queen of Sheba and say about our God who’s working in our lives, “Wow! The greatness has not been half told me about the Lord Jesus Christ.”

We need to make much of Christ and spread His fame abroad. He needs to be famous to those around us. Are you making His glory resound throughout those whom God has placed in your life?

-Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Evening Sermon from 2 Chronicles 9Queen of Sheba“)

Scripture at Sunrise 1.15.2020

“For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.” -Colossians 1:16

How is God glorified by a rose that He plants in a forest so remote that no man or angel will ever see it? He is glorified because He sees it. How is God glorified by those servants who are hidden from all notoriety and fame? Because He sees them, knows their way, and rejoices. -Paul Washer

Sunday Evening | Pastor Steve Wainright | That the World May Know | 1 Kings 8:12-66
“…that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.” -1 Kings 8:60

The purpose of our existence is to make God known–to make Him famous, that all the world may know that the Lord is God.

May our lives show forth the joy of the Lord that is our strength, that all the world may know that He is God.
