“For Thy mercy is great above the heavens: and Thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.” -Psalm 108:4

Mercy is not getting what we deserve. God doesn’t have to show mercy, but He does. That shows the goodness of God!

-Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon from  Hebrews 7:20-28 Mercy)

Morning Audio: The Value of Your Soul | Evening Audio: God’s Rich Mercy

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.” —Ephesians 2:1-5

God didn’t have to deliver the Israelites from oppression, but He’s rich in mercy. Though they had broken covenant, He still loved them. God’s forgiveness is always based upon His love, faithfulness, and compassion–not your repentance.
