“Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly. Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.” -2 Chronicles 22:2-4
When it comes to your personal life and decisions you make, do not compromise in godliness. Don’t compromise your principles or morals to make someone else accept you and like you.

“Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.” -Titus 2:10
Are you an ornament of God’s grace? Are you beautifying the teaching of our Lord? Don’t underestimate how God can use your witness even when you’re not speaking.
–excerpt from Steve Wainright’s Sunday Morning Sermon: “Are You an Ornament?“
“6But godliness with contentment is great gain, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” -1 Timothy 6:6-10
You fall into sin when your soul is not satisfied in God. –excerpt from Pastor Steve Wainright’s Sunday Morning Sermon
“If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” -1 Timothy 4:6-8
Spiritual training in godliness is priceless. It is profitable for everything in your life. You must have the right spiritual diet and exercise. Nourish yourself. Eat what is good for you: the truth of God’s Word. As you love God’s Word, you live God’s Word. Let it settle and sink in and saturate your life. –excerpt from Pastor Steve Wainright’s Sunday Morning Sermon
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” -1 Corinthians 15:33
Is your walk with the Lord dependent on someone else? Or is your walk with the Lord connected with a personal relationship with Christ?
Joash had a great zeal for the Lord when Jehoiada was in the picture, but that faded when he surrounded himself with ungodly influences. Joash depended on Jehoiada and Jehoaida’s walk with the Lord, when Jehoiada passed of the scene, Joash turned from godliness.

The Grace of God at Work [audio]| Titus 2:11-14 | Bro. Jonathan Hunter
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” -Titus 2:11-14
God, by His grace, brings us all the way from being lost sinners to being like God and Christ forever in Heaven. Grace brings salvation from our sins. Grace instructs us in how to live less like the world and more like God. Grace will culminate all of God’s promises and will bring all of God’s work to completion. -Jonathan Hunter
