Scripture at Sunrise 7.9.2018

“Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.” -Acts 9:31

These churches had unity, they worked on building each other up, they were in motion/action (not standing still) walking in the fear of the Lord, and they had the comfort of the Holy Spirit. We should want the Holy Spirit to permeate everything we do, say, and think.
There will be growth in the local church if you have these things. You can’t stop it. It doesn’t talk about how fast they grew–churches grow at different rates–but they grew! –excerpts from Bro. Mike Creiglow’s Sunday Morning Sermon (missionary to Brazil)

Scripture at Sunrise 3.10.09

“Do not love the world or anything in the world.”  -1 John 2:15

An excerpt from CJ Mahaney’s book titled Worldliness:

Charles Spurgeon, writing 150 years ago, nevertheless speaks poignantly to the problem in the church today: “I believe,” he asserted, “that one reason why the church of God at this present moment has so little influence over the world is because the world has so much influence over the church…Worldliness is growing over the church; she is mossed with it.”
