Thanking the Lord for 14 Blessed Years!

Fourteen years ago today, it had been raining for days on end and Lexington was flooding, but there were also showers of blessing and our hearts were being flooded with joy. New Life Baptist Church was organized on March 2, 1997, out of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of Richmond. The Lord has been so gracious to us and has always proved Himself faithful. We are grateful for each and every one that has passed through New Life Baptist Church over the years. May the Lord continue to bring glory to Himself in and through NLBC.

“Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe.  And Joshua said to them, “Pass on before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up each of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the people of Israel,  that this may be a sign among you. When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’ then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.” (read all of Joshua 4)

“O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy Name; for Thou hast done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”  –Isaiah 25:1

A Brief Overview of Our Church History

For those who don’t know, on Sunday we all wrote down where we were 12 years ago and how the Lord has worked in our life since then.  If you did not have the chance to write that out, please see Sarah for a piece of paper.  They are being compiled in an album along with pictures!
