It’s easy to think that the great movers and shakers of history are the presidents or the politicians or maybe even the preachers, but who’s to say that it isn’t an army of unseen men and women on their knees day and night praying and pleading before the throne? -Kevin DeYoung

Sunday Morning | Bro. Anthony Vance | James 5:13-20
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. -James 5:16

God wants His children to engage in prayer. There is power in praying and as children of God, we are all encouraged to pray.

4 Components of True Prayer
1) Right Person: one who is saved, submitted to the will of God, and sincere
2) Right Power: active, carries a force, communion with God that is energized by God
3) Right Passion: not cold or indifferent, but real and from the heart, involving a relationship
4) Right Purity: you cannot be fervent and effectual in prayer if you are harboring disobedience in your life

Sunday Evening| Bro. Dannie Wainright | Jonah
So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord. -Jonah 1:3

When you’re running from God, you’ll pay the fare. When the flesh dominates the spirit in your life, you’ll pay the fare.

Want to be blessed? Trust and obey.
