“I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for His Name’s sake.” -1 John 2:12

Our forgiveness is based on His Name, not our works.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “A Word of Encouragement” from 1 John 2:12-14)

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.” -Psalm 42:5

Sometimes we get hopeless because we’re looking for hope in all the wrong places. Hope is only found in Christ. You will never be satisfied until your desire is for God and God alone.

-Associate Pastor Josh Wilson (excerpt from Sunday Evening Sermon “Depressed & Discouraged” from Psalm 42)

“This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.” -1 John 1:5

If you want to have fellowship and fullness of joy, your life must be emptied of everything that is false and impure.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “The Key to Fellowship” from 1 John 1:5)

“That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” -1 John 1:3

Before you can have fellowship with other believers, you must first have fellowship with God the Father and His Son.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “The Eternal Life” from 1 John 1:1-4John 17:3)

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” -Matthew 24:35

God’s Word does not change, but it does change hearts and lives.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “Recognizing False Teachers” from 2 Peter 2:1-3)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” -Romans 8:28

If you really believe the sovereignty of God, you have no room for complaint.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “Supplements for Your Faith” from 2 Peter 1:5-7)

“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” -1 Peter 4:7

When you become aware of Jesus Christ and that His coming is imminent, it affects your whole life. Live in the light of His imminent return. It can happen at any moment.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “In Light of His Coming” from 1 Peter 4:7-11)

Summing Up Sunday 05.23.2022

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah 55:8-9

God does what is best. Therefore, we walk by faith and not by answers that give us understanding.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “The Rest of Your Time in the Flesh” from 1 Peter 4:1-6)

Summing Up Sunday 05.09.2022

“For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit…” -1 Peter 3:17-18

Have you ever suffered for doing something good and then have somebody fuss at you or curse at you or complain about you, and you’ve made this comment: “I don’t deserve this”? Have you ever felt like you don’t deserve certain suffering? We deserve so much more.

We sing, “I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene and wonder how He could love me, a sinner condemned unclean.”

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “Vindicated in Suffering” from 1 Peter 3:18-4:1)

Summing Up Sunday 04.18.2022

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” -1 Corinthians 15:1-4

“The Gospel has a powerful effect on every aspect of our lives.” (excerpt from Sunday Morning Sermon “A Godly Role Model” from 1 Peter 3:7)
