Scripture after Sunrise 9.21.2020

“Then they brought out the king’s son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.” -2 Chronicles 23:11

The king must be made known! Even so, in our day and time, there are many people who are controlled by Satan’s rule. It is our responsibility to make the King known. There are people who do not know that there is a King upon the throne: the Lord Jesus Christ. We must make Him known!

Sunday Evening | Pastor Steve Wainright | That the World May Know | 1 Kings 8:12-66
“…that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.” -1 Kings 8:60

The purpose of our existence is to make God known–to make Him famous, that all the world may know that the Lord is God.

May our lives show forth the joy of the Lord that is our strength, that all the world may know that He is God.

Scripture @ Sunrise 12.17.08

“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” -Mark 8:35

“The task of God’s people is to make known the good news of God’s renewed reign over the entirety of creation. Christ’s kingly authority extends over the whole world. God’s mission is equally comprehensive: to embody the good news that Jesus again rules over marriage and family, business and politics, art and athletics, leisure and scholarship, sex and technology. Since the gospel is a gospel of the kingdom, that mission is as wide as creation.”
