The New Life Insider_February 2013
Coach Ralph Sallee, my junior Bible teacher and P.E. teacher at LCA in high school, is in St. Joe Hospital with terminal cancer. He was diagnosed with esophagus cancer in March. It has since metastasized in his liver. His step-daughter, Courtney, is a senior at LCA this year. She played the saxophone in band with me my junior and senior year and I had the privilege of working with her again at band camp this year. Courtney was the drum major this year! His wife, Alesia, is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She has taught in Jessamine County forever. He also has a son at Morehead, Nate. Coach Sallee was the girls’ basketball coach at LCA forever, before moving to East Jessamine.
