And He said to all, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. -Luke 9:23
The call of the cross demands that we deny ourselves daily, that we die to ourselves daily–die to our flesh and the desires of our flesh. –excerpt from Pastor Steve Wainright’s Sunday Evening Sermon
“And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.” -John 19:12
You either believe the truth or you are an enemy of truth. There is no middle ground. –excerpt from Pastor Steve Wainright’s Sunday Evening Sermon
Sunday Morning| Pastor Steve Wainright | Luke 23:13-25
“The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you…” -Acts 3:13-14
God, in His love and mercy, preached a message of grace through Peter to the very people who crucified Jesus…and many believed (Acts 4:4)! How great is the love of God?
The innocent for the guilty. He takes upon Himself our sins and we become His perfect righteousness.
