“And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.” -2 Chronicles 34:2

What does it mean to do right in the sight of the Lord? It very simply means having a habit of seeking God in every situation. -Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpt from Sunday Evening Sermon “Youthful Godlinessfrom 2 Chronicles 34)

Scripture at Sunrise 02.08.2021

“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled…” -Hebrews 12:15

There are many people who are lonely. There are many who are sick, afflicted, discouraged, weary, and ready to quit. Don’t look within, look without. We are living in a hurting world. Have you reached out?

We need to be looking diligently because there are people around us who are tempted to stop running the race, give up, and throw in the towel. -Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Morning Sermon “Look Diligently” from Hebrews 12:15)

Scripture at Sunrise 4.3.2019

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” -1 Corinthians 9:24

We run the race, not against each other, but for the prize: the crown of righteousness to lay at the feet of Jesus.

Scripture at Sunrise 3.13.2019

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” -Hebrews 12:1-3

As Christians, we are running a race that God has set before us. As we run, we must remember the witnesses, relinquish the weights, renounce the sin, and run with patience. Look unto Jesus and keep your focus on Him, observing His ways, and patterning your life after Him. -Josh Wilson from 3/10 Evening Sermon (audio below)
