Scripture (after) Sunrise 2.5.2018

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. -Romans 11:17-20
Because of faith, we are grafted in, because of unbelief, some are cut off. If you are grafted in, don’t be full of pride–it’s all because of grace.  –excerpt from Steve Wainright’s Sunday Morning Sermon

Scripture after Sunrise 3.30.09

This is a special after-the-sunrise post summarizing last night’s message from Exodus 30

The imagery of the Old Testament shows more deeply the beauty of our Lord and Savior in His redemptive work.

vs. 11-16- We are bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
vs. 17-21- We are sanctified and meet [useful, profitable] for the Master’s use.  (2 Timothy 2:21)
vs. 22-33- We are anointed by His Spirit.

Are you devoted to His service?  Is what you have consecrated to Him?
