Scripture at Sunrise 4.16.2018

“Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” -Romans 12:17-21

Scripture at Sunrise 4.2.2018

“And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain…But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead…” -1 Corinthians 15:14,20

There is no point in life if there is no resurrection. With no resurrection, there is no relationship with God. There is nothing after death. There is no purpose for morals. There is no hope beyond this life. There is no reason for living. If there is no resurrection, the power of death remains unbroken and we remain dead in our sins. But the reality is, there is a resurrection!

Scripture at Sunrise 3.19.2018

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” -Romans 12:9-10
Our world has a twisted definition of love. When sin entered the world, it perverted the meaning of love. Communion with God was broken. Sin has marred the love we should have for God and one another. The only way our love can be restored is by trusting in Christ.

Love should be the rule for the child of God, stimulated by the Spirit of God through the mercies of God. Know the depths of God’s love for you so that you may love others genuinely without facade or hypocrisy.
