Scripture after Sunrise 9.21.2020

“Then they brought out the king’s son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.” -2 Chronicles 23:11

The king must be made known! Even so, in our day and time, there are many people who are controlled by Satan’s rule. It is our responsibility to make the King known. There are people who do not know that there is a King upon the throne: the Lord Jesus Christ. We must make Him known!

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon from 2 Chronicles 23:1-21 – “To Be God’s People)

Scripture after Sunset 9.14.2020

“For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins…” -Hebrews 10:26

If you turn from the Gospel, you’ve turned from the sacrifice of Christ for your sin, and there is no other sacrifice that will take away your sin.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Morning Sermon from Hebrews 10:26-31 – “Fiery Indignation“)

Scripture after Sunset 9.7.2020

“Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly. Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.” -2 Chronicles 22:2-4

When it comes to your personal life and decisions you make, do not compromise in godliness. Don’t compromise your principles or morals to make someone else accept you and like you.

-Pastor Steve Wainright (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon from 2 Chronicles 22 – “No Compromise”)

Scripture at Sunrise 8.24.2020

“Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.  Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” -Isaiah 50:10-11

Those of greatest devotion may experience some of the deepest darkness. It is often in the dark times of our life that our own faith grows the most.

-Bro. Josh Wilson (excerpts from Sunday Evening Sermon from Isaiah 50:3-4, 10-11Walking in Darkness)
