Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. -John 2:7
Don’t miss God’s work in the small things! In this first miracle, Jesus went to a simple town with simple people and used the means that were available.
We’re just old crack-pots, but if we’re sealed with the Holy Spirit, we can hold water: life-giving water to pour into others! May He use our water jars to do what only He can do.

When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” -John 2:3
Do we sometimes also forget our place by trying to dictate the Lord’s intervention upon our circumstances? Instead of resting in His will, we get frustrated with His timing. Too often we come to the Lord like Mary did saying, “We’re out of wine–do something now.” Submit to His perfect wisdom and timing.
